On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high) how great of an impact do you think this event had on the Civil Rights Movement? (Explain your reasoning in 4-5 sentences) (8 pts)

I give the the March On Washington an 8. i think it was a good idea to react with non-violence. They used non-violence to show they were innocent people being harrassed. They expressed a lot of points in which they were being treated fairly. Even though African Americans were free they weren't treated like they were. People would endure racial slurs and be beaten just because they were black or aquantinces of blacks. The speeches made were broadcasted and were very strong especially the "I Have A Dream" speech performed by Matrin Luther King Jr. The people there were mostly poor or African American.
